Charlotte Wedding Planner :: Healthy Two For Tuesday

This week my fiancé Satchel and I have been trying our best to cook more and eat out less. Save a little moolah and eat healthier! This recipe is super easy, fast, and good for you. I love to grill out but afterwards I feel like I’ve eaten an entire cow. So Satchel and I decided to make these yummy looking turkey burgers. They were just as delicious as they looked in the pictures! With red onion and parsley, these burgers were summery, fresh, and so juicy. I didn’t feel overfull after the meal, but just right. So grill these up to celebrate the last days of summer with your hubby the healthy way!

Turkey Burgers

1 lb. ground turkey meat (prefer thigh meat)
1 medium red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh parsley, minced (or whatever fresh herbs you like)
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
cheese (optional)

Mix ingredients together and form 4-6 patties. Grill on medium heat for 7 minutes a side. 2 minutes before burgers are done, place a slice of cheese (optional) on each patty. Serve hot.
